In-School ABA

Supporting Your Child's Success in the Classroom

Expert ABA support where learning happens. Helping your child thrive academically and socially while at school.

School presents unique challenges and opportunities for children with autism. The classroom environment, with social demands, academic expectations, sensory stimulation, and constant transitions, can be overwhelming especially for children with ASD. However, it’s also where children spend a significant portion of their day, making it essential that they have the support they need to succeed.

Kokoro Care’s in-school ABA therapy brings specialized behavioral support directly to your child’s educational setting. Our trained therapists work alongside teachers, aides, and school staff to help your child navigate the school day, participate in learning, build friendships, and develop the skills they need to thrive both in the classroom and beyond.

At Kokoro Care Network, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Assistant Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCaBA) and Registered Behavior Technician’s (RBT) create a family-centered strategy as a team to work with your child and family in different types of needs and settings.

Goals that can be met with In-School ABA Therapy

How In-School ABA Therapy Works

Coordination with Your Child’s School

Our therapists are fully credentialed and background-checked to provide on-site support in Palm Beach County schools, including private schooling. We work closely with your child’s school administration, teachers, and support staff to ensure our services complement the educational environment. This includes understanding the school’s schedule, classroom expectations, and any existing supports (such as an IEP or 504 plan). Our goal is to be a seamless part of your child’s school team.

1:1 Support in the Classroom

A trained Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) accompanies your child during designated school hours, providing individualized support throughout the day. The therapist may work directly alongside your child in the classroom, during specials (art, music, PE), at recess, and during lunch, wherever support is most needed.

BCBA Supervision & Collaboration

Your supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) oversees your child’s in-school program, regularly visiting the school to observe, assess progress, and collaborate with educators. The BCBA adjusts the treatment plan based on data and feedback to help ensure your child continues growth throughout their ABA therapy.

Combining In-School with In-Home Therapy

Many families choose to combine in-school and in-home ABA therapy for comprehensive support. While in-school therapy focuses on academic and social success in the educational setting, in-home therapy addresses daily living skills, family routines, and behaviors that occur outside of school hours. Together, these services create a complete approach to your child’s development.

Progress Communication

You’ll receive regular updates on your child’s school-based progress, including how they’re handling classroom demands, social interactions, and behavioral goals. We also facilitate communication between home and school, so strategies can be consistent across all environments.
