    What is Kokoro Care?

    Kokoro (心) - "heart" or "mind"

    The word “Kokoro” unites the ideals of heart, mind, and spirit. In the Japanese culture, it’s believed that thoughts, feelings, and one’s will are all interlinked aspects of what it means to be human. Our pursuit of interpreting how they are connected helps us to understand the human experience.

    ABA Therapy
    ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a behavioral therapy often used for individuals with Autism.

    Individual Therapy
    Single person therapy in a safe space with your therapist, in-person or through telehealth.

    Child Therapy
    Your child will join the therapist in the safe and fun space utilizing play-base approach.

    Family Therapy
    You, your family member(s) are welcome to join in your therapy sessions.

    Couple Therapy
    You and your significant other will join the safe place with your therapist.

    Group Therapy
    Therapy with multiple people in similar circumstances allowing for multiple perspectives.

    Sachie Tamayo

    Clinical Director - M.S., LMHC, BCBA, NCC, CAS, IBA
    Sachie Tamayo is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in State of Florida (MH19792) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Her body of work includes treatment for individuals from toddlers to adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), other developmental disabilities, Down Syndrome, Attention Deficits Hyperactivities Disorders(ADHD/ADD) and behavioral issues in intensive clinic-based ABA therapy and in-home ABA therapy for over 10 years. She has been successfully providing individual, couple, children and families counseling in-person or using telehealth over 5 years.
